Conference Happenings |
The Annual Conference is just days away! In addition to the sessions, there are two important SIG events at the conference: the SIG Meeting and the SIG Networking Luncheon. The SIG Meeting is scheduled for Sunday at 3:30 in the Columbian room (West tower). This informal (as in "fun!") meeting is our chance to talk about the SIG and what we want to do. If you have ideas for SIG projects, if you want to meet us, or if you want to volunteer, please stop by. Volunteers get a free drink! The SIG Networking Luncheon is a great way to meet people. It's on Tuesday from 12:15 to 2:00 in Riverside Center West ballroom (East tower). Tickets are $20 and you can purchase them when you register. If you don't have plans already, we'd love to see you there! |
Kudos to Karen |
I'd love to hear three cheers or really, 5,250! cheers for Karen and her work on Hyperviews:Online. As you may have noticed, we received the Best of Show award in this year's newsletter competition. Karen and her wonderful team have done an outstanding job with Hyperviews:Online. It takes a lot of people and a lot of work to produce this newsletter, but everyone's hard work certainly shows. Thanks, Karen, for leading the effort! |

In Your Neighborhood |
As many of you know, over 20 chapters have a local Online SIG. If your chapter doesn't have an Online SIG and you want to start one, let me know. I would really like to help especially with non-US chapters. I know you're out there! And for all you chapter-level Online SIG leaders Thanks for all of your hard work! If you are looking for online information-related events in your area, check out our new Events and Conferences page. Brian Curtis is doing an excellent job gathering and maintaining this information. Thanks, Brian! |
